             abstract = "This paper aims to argue about the use of technology specially the 
                         one related to SIG data as an effective instrument to map the 
                         unities found in a scenery above all when they are not associated 
                         to other areas of learning. In the mentioned context, it is 
                         important to highlight the contribution of the geomorphic studies 
                         once they bring a deeper perspective about the characteristics, 
                         procedures and dynamics inherent to the shapes of terrain, being 
                         able to analyze if they are favorable or specific spaces used by 
                         men. As a near example there is the non-planned urban expansion 
                         whereas this phenomenon is considered one of the main actual 
                         issues. It takes place based on the uncontrolled population growth 
                         linked to a habitation shortfall in the cities, Guerra (2014). 
                         Such problems are shown when we observe the occupation of places 
                         which are not suitable for human living in an urban environment, 
                         increasing the possibility or even the occurrence of chaotic 
                         consequences when natural phenomena act over space. As a way of 
                         showing the applicability of geoprocessing, specially though the 
                         use of ArcGIS and Spring, this work intends to present complex 
                         maps showing details of Rio S{\~a}o Franciscos watershed, located 
                         around S{\~a}o Francisco, Charitas, Largo da Batalha e Cachoeira 
                         neighbors, in Niter{\'o}i, a metropolitan area in Rio de Janeiro. 
                         The mentioned watershed contains high levels of urbanization 
                         characteristics in slope areas, which are vulnerable to the 
                         occurrence of mass wasting.",
